Court Services

The juvenile court system can be confusing and intimidating. At YouthZone, we work closely with local Municipal, County and District courts to provide court-related programming that keeps kids on the path to success. YouthZone provides the following court services (by court referral):

Court Assessment 
Youth assessment, recommendation to the court, overseeing court ordered requirements, exit interview with the family, final report to the court. (Municipal and County courts)

Deferred Sentencing 
Intervention services to youth with a final outcome of having the charges against the youth dismissed. (Municipal and County courts)

Diversion
Designed to prevent first time and low-level juvenile offenders from entering the juvenile justice system. (District court)

Case Management
On-going monitoring of and assistance to a young person as he/she works on completing his/her personal program at any court level.

SB-94 Services
Senate Bill 94 is a statewide grant initiative that provides alternatives to detention for youth ages 10 to 17 involved in the juvenile justice system. YouthZone provides screening, case management and tracking services to meet the requirements of the program. (District court).

Useful Public Service
An orientation course on what is useful public service, case management of a youth’s hours and a written report to the court. (Municipal, County, District courts)
