What started out as a handful of concerned parents around a kitchen table has grown to an agency serving youth and families in ten communities across Western Colorado. We offer 35 programs in the areas of prevention, intervention and advocacy, designed to meet the unique needs and strengths of each individual.

Widely considered the lead organization in collaborative efforts, YouthZone works closely with law enforcement, the judicial system, schools, the Department of Human Services, probation, local therapists, parents and other youth service organizations. YouthZone established a Community Evaluation Team (CET) to ensure comprehensive plans for individuals requiring extended community services.

YouthZone also established the Coalition for Families which includes:

• district attorneys
• judges
• law enforcement
• mental health
• other local youth service providers

YouthZone is dedicated to empowering and strengthening youth and families. On average 75% of youth who have been charged with a crime and come to YouthZone for help never re-offend! We see each child as a multi-faceted, complex human being with many needs, desires, talents and motivations. YouthZone provides each youth with a comprehensive, individualized program. No youth is denied services based on his/her or the family’s inability to pay.
